Queridos amigos
‘Kentucky Fried Cruelty’ with Pamela Anderson
Cruelty Capital, USA
KFC suppliers cram birds into huge waste-filled factories, breed and drug them to grow so large that they can’t even walk, and often break their wings and legs. At slaughter, the birds’ throats are slit and they are dropped into tanks of scalding-hot water—often while they are still conscious. It would be illegal for KFC to abuse dogs, cats, pigs, or cows in these ways.
KFC’s own animal welfare advisors have asked the company to take steps to eliminate these abuses, but KFC refuses to do so. Many advisors have now resigned in frustration.
Please join Pamela Anderson, Sir Paul McCartney, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, The Rev. Al Sharpton, and countless other kind people worldwide by not eating at KFC.

PetSmart may be smart about making money, but it's clueless when it comes to taking proper care of the animals it buys and sells by the millions.
The company's trade in live animals supports a mass-breeding industry just as cruel as—and less regulated than—the puppy mill industry; results in abysmal treatment of tiny, vulnerable beings; and ultimately leads to their overpopulation, homelessness, neglect, and suffering.
Take a closer look at PetSmart and please do not buy anything from PetSmart until it stops selling all animals.

Urge Donna Karan to Shed Fur!
Despite the fact that Donna Karan has promised to stop using fur in her designs in the past, PETA has learned that she continues to use and sell fur. Please join us in urging Karan to discontinue the sale of all fur items and to institute a permanent fur-free policy. PETA has asked Karan to join other top designers and retailers—including her top competitors Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Polo Ralph Lauren, Ann Taylor, and others—who have already adopted permanent fur-free policies.
Animals on fur farms spend their entire lives confined to cramped, filthy wire cages, where they are exposed to all weather conditions. They often go without clean water or veterinary care, and they are denied the opportunity to engage in natural behaviors like climbing, burrowing, and swimming. The intensive confinement causes many animals on fur farms to go insane.
Fur farmers use the cheapest killing methods available, including neck-breaking, suffocation, poisoning, and electrocution. Many animals are electrocuted by having rods inserted into their rectums and 240 volts of electricity sent through their bodies. The animals convulse, shake, and often cry out before suffering painful heart attacks. Crude killing methods aren't always effective, and sometimes animals "wake up" while they are being skinned.
Karan knows about the suffering that goes into every fur-trimmed coat, hat, and bag, yet she continues to use and promote real fur. Please contact Karan and let her know that you will not buy any of her designs until she makes the compassionate decision to go fur-free for good.

Tell Lowe's to Stop Selling Glue Traps!
Glue traps are among the cruelest pest-control devices on the market today. Animals who get stuck to them suffer for days before they finally die of starvation, dehydration, self-mutilation, and shock. Patches of skin, fur, or feathers are torn from their bodies as they frantically struggle to escape the relentless adhesive.
Many animals resort to chewing off their own limbs in a desperate attempt to free themselves from the traps, and others get their noses, mouths, or beaks stuck in the glue and suffocate. Imagine being stuck in a giant glue trap and having to gnaw off your own leg just to break free.
"Nontarget" animals routinely fall prey to these cruel devices too. PETA fields calls on a daily basis from distraught customers who have discovered that birds, squirrels, and even their animal companions have become hopelessly stuck in glue traps.
PETA has presented Lowe's with graphic photos and video footage of small animals, including birds, who suffered painful injuries and died lingering deaths after being ensnared by the cruel traps. But so far, not this, nor the fact that other companies—including CVS, Rite Aid, Albertsons, and Safeway—have banned glue traps because they are so cruel has persuaded Lowe's to do the right thing and get rid of them once and for all.
Please take a moment to fill out the form below, which sends an automated letter to the CEO of Lowe's urging him to stop selling glue traps.
